Revenue Software v3.17 Release Notes

What's new in Revenue Software v3.17?

Note:  Export files created from Revenue v3.05 and 
       Attendance v3.06 can be imported into Revenue 
       v3.17 using the File-Import-Certified Data
       function.  For those data entry screens that
       have new fields, zeroes will be added into the
       new fields.  If data are saved (press Save 
       or Check/Save buttons), a new certification 
       number will be generated.  Export files must be imported
       into v3.17 from oldest to newest based on the filename's
       date/time stamp:  SoftwareVersion_Period_CountyCode
       _Month_Day_Year_Hour_Minutes_Seconds.

1.  Data Entry Screen for Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)

    - Education Code Section 56836.16 allows school districts
      reporting less than 3,000 ADA to claim reimbursement 
      for costs to provide special education and designated 
      instruction and services to pupils who reside in a 
      skilled nursing facility.  The ADA qualification relates
      to the school district in which the SNF is located and 
      claims for reimbursement may only be made by the school 
      district in which the SNF is located.  

      In addition to reimbursement for special education and 
      designated instruction and services, districts may also 
      seek reimbursement for school psychologist services, 
      school nurse services, language, speech and hearing 
      services and adapted physical education services 
      (per EC Section 56836.16(b)(4)(A, B, C & D).  All 
      claims related to SNF must be reported in the 
      appropriate screen.

2.  State Parameters and Preloads for 2003-04.

    - The parameters and preload values have been updated 
      to reflect the new values for 2003-04.

3.  Necessary Small Schools

    - Due to revisions in the software there will be an 
      informative e-mail sent to county revenue and attendance
      contacts containing information on the revision and 
      step-by-step instructions on the process for COE's to 
      submit data for necessary small schools.

4.  Using Get Latest in Forecasting Mode

    - The Get Latest function will not update data in 
      Forecasting mode.  Updating information using the Get
      Latest function must be performed while the software 
      is in normal mode.
