California Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Attention: The PFT participation rate data is ONLY submitted to the California Department of Education (CDE) in the School Accountability Report Card (SARC), due annually by February 1. SARCs are one year in arrears, therefore, submit your current school year PFT participation rate data to your LEA Main Authorizer for the next year’s SARC. Contact your LEA to find out who is your LEA Main Authorizer.
Welcome to the California Physical Fitness (PFT) website supported by the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), the current state PFT contractor. This site is for designating a local education agency (LEA) PFT Coordinator and to provide resources to assist PFT Coordinators plan and administer the PFT. An LEA is a school district, county office of education, or charter school that is independent for assessment purposes (i.e., independent charter school).

Coordinator Registration



Every LEA needs to designate a PFT Coordinator by November 1 every year, even if the LEA uses a vendor or does not have students in grades five, seven, or nine. This ensures that the LEA will receive the latest PFT information and updates and be able to submit, review, and correct data, as needed.

To obtain the password needed to access the secure District Portal, complete the PFT Coordinator Designation online form. The LEA superintendent or administrator will be contacted by e-mail to approve the information on the form before the password is released.
